Our Visionary

Dr. Nalinaksha Biswas a former academic who earned his Doctoral Degree (PhD.) in Environmental Control, Heat & Mass transfer in deep underground galleries from Nottingham University - England, was a Senior Lecturer in Building Science at Leeds Metropolitan University for many years, before taking early retirement.

Donation

We have been granted income tax exemption by the Income Tax Department and have all our accounts audited. We also have been granted Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (F.C.R.A.) registration by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. We are permitted to receive donations from foreign sources and in foreign currencies.

About Our Foundation

The Biswas Educational Foundation is a non-religious, non-political, non-profitable volunteer driven registered public charitable trust with 80G/12AA/FCRA has taken its root out of a dream shown by our Visionary, Dr. Nalinaksha Biswas, who is presently residing at Leeds in The United Kingdom for upliftment of orphans and single-parent-children belonging to the underprivileged section of the society.

A Four member Trustee Board has been formed in the year 2008 for a better & appropriate execution:

2. Mr. Debasish Biswas - Trustee.
3. Mr. Tarun Bagchi - Trustee.
4. Mrs. Geeta Dev Biswas - Trustee.
